Learning Irish - Scoil na Gaeilge

Failte romhat! Welcome !

Welcome to Scoil na Gaeilge--The Irish Language School--where Irish is spoken 365 days a year. Whether your interest is to join in on a conversation, sing a song, write a letter or read a book, we have a class where you'll learn how rewarding--and how easy--learning Irish can be.

Our classes in Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Modern Irish develop the skills necessary to gain language proficiency--conversation, listening and literacy. And we also offer the continuity and support needed to reach your goal. Classes are available days and evenings, seven days a week, in the San Fernando Valley and in Los Angeles.

Upwards of 1 million people in Ireland and in far-flung places such as Tokyo, Moscow, Berlin and Brisbane are speaking, writing and listening to Irish each and every day. One of our aims at Scoil na Gaeilge is to create an Irish language community of interest here in the Los Angeles area. As we grow, we will have many activities to develop and support your language skills. And we'll all have some great fun discovering how easy and enjoyable learning Irish can be.

Every Monday night at 7PM we have an Irish Language workshop at the Celtic Arts Center in Studio City http://www.celticartscenter.com. More comprehensive courses will be forming in the next couple of weeks. The workshop is a great place to begin if Monday is a good night for you. If not, the coming series of classes will aim to accomodate all schedules.
